Slash Payment Processing for Travel AgenciesCustomer Deposits, Virtual Accounts, Supplier Payments, and Card Acceptance
By Santosh Kumar, Founder of Shopiator

What Slash offers travel agencies: customer deposit accounts, virtual accounts by business line, global supplier payments, and card payment processing.
Travel agencies hold customer deposits, pay suppliers across regions, and fight chargebacks. Slash's travel agency page pitches business checking for customer deposits, virtual accounts by line of business, and global payments, and its payment processing page says travel agencies are among the businesses it serves. Travel is also a category with high dispute risk, and travel agencies were not among the initial categories launch coverage named. Here is what Slash says, and what to verify.
What Slash Says Travel Agencies Get
- ▶Checking for customer deposits: real-time cash visibility, automated reconciliation, and multiple entities from one dashboard.
- ▶Virtual accounts for every line of business: keep supplier payments, customer deposits, and operating funds organized.
- ▶Spend management: unlimited virtual cards for vendor payments, supplier deposits, and operating costs, with granular controls.
- ▶Global payments: free international ACH and wires on Pro, and faster settlement through crypto rails, SWIFT, or real-time payments.
Card Payments and Chargebacks
Slash's processing page describes cards and controls for online travel agencies, supplier payments, and chargeback fights. Customers dispute travel purchases often, because trips are paid long before they happen and plans change. Whop's published dispute fee is $15 per dispute, and a processor may hold reserves or limit categories it considers high risk. Slash has not published how it handles travel merchants, so confirm approval, reserves, and dispute support before you rely on card deposits.
What to Check
- ▶Whether travel agencies are approved for card processing, and under what terms.
- ▶Reserves, rolling holds, and payout timing for deposits taken months before travel.
- ▶Card rate and dispute fee, and how Slash helps you submit evidence.
- ▶Customer deposit rules in your jurisdiction, since some places regulate how travel funds are held. Ask your accountant or lawyer.
