Slash Payment Processing for Ecommerce: Fees, Features, Review

Slash now accepts card payments with Whop behind it. What ecommerce brands get, what it costs, and the questions to ask before switching.

On September 24, 2026, Slash, the business banking platform, launched card payment processing, with Whop providing the infrastructure behind it. Merchants can turn on card payments for invoices or use an SDK to build their own web checkout, and the money lands in the same Slash account they already use for banking and corporate cards. For an ecommerce brand the question is whether collecting payments inside the bank beats a standalone processor. This is what Slash has said, what is still unpublished, and who should look at it.

What Slash Announced

Slash describes the product as a way to accept card payments alongside the financial tools you already use. Its page lays out four steps: your customer pays through an invoice, Slash processes the payment, funds appear in your Slash account, and you then spend, track, and earn. Slash says no middleman or added fees are involved in getting funds into your account, and that you do not have to stitch together other tools. The page also says Slash is already processing over $1 billion in payments, which is Slash's own figure.

Launch coverage adds detail. Merchants can follow a payment from the first customer transaction to the funds reaching their Slash account. Payments from invoices and the SDK show in one dashboard next to associated fees and receivables, and merchants can issue partial refunds. The service is initially available to businesses in ecommerce, telehealth, and software, and to service agencies in marketing, advertising, and consulting. Slash's CEO said the partnership with Whop is meant to deliver a reliable processing platform so users can focus on running their business.

How It Works for an Ecommerce Brand

  • ▶Invoices: turn on card payments when you send an invoice. Useful for wholesale, B2B orders, and custom or pre-order sales.
  • ▶SDK checkout: build card payments into your own site. Slash's page shows a payment call in code with an amount and currency, and describes controlling the checkout experience yourself.
  • ▶Payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, and Google Pay on invoices, with support for more methods still being confirmed.
  • ▶Funds: land in your Slash account, where you can fund corporate cards, track spend, and earn cashback, with leftover cash moved into treasury for yield.
  • ▶Refunds: partial refunds are supported from the Slash dashboard.

What It Costs

Slash's payment processing page has a FAQ entry on cost, but we could not see the answer, and the launch coverage does not state a Slash rate. What is documented is Whop's base rate for card payments: 2.7% plus $0.30 per successful domestic card transaction, plus 1.5% for international cards and 1% when currency conversion is needed, with a $15 fee per dispute. That is Whop's own published pricing, and Slash may charge differently, so get Slash's rate in writing before comparing.

Chart: Shopiator calculation from Whop's published base card rate. Slash's own rate was not published on its page.

The percentage fee matters most on small orders. The fixed $0.30 makes a $50 order cost 3.3% and a $200 order 2.85%. Slash's banking plans are separate: its ecommerce page lists a free plan and a $25 a month Pro plan, with differences in transfer fees, so add those to your cost model if you move your banking.

Where Slash Fits, and Where It Does Not

  • ▶Fits: brands already banking on Slash that want payments, cards, and cashback in one place, and anyone invoicing customers.
  • ▶Fits: custom or headless stores that can use an SDK instead of a hosted gateway.
  • ▶Unclear: Shopify stores. Slash's page talks about invoices and an SDK for your own site. It does not show a Shopify checkout integration, so do not assume it replaces Shopify Payments.
  • ▶Unclear: approval for high-risk products, since Slash says the service is for approved merchants and does not publish its category rules.
  • ▶Unclear: payout timing, chargeback handling, and fraud tools. Whop documents its own rules, which we cover in Whop payment rules, but Slash has not said which apply to its merchants.
