Judge.me vs Trustpilot for Google Shopping Reviews
By Santosh Kumar, Founder of Shopiator

Judge.me vs Trustpilot for Google Shopping reviews in 2026: which app gets product stars into Shopping ads, which feeds Google store ratings, real first-year costs ($180 vs $1,188+), app ratings and when to run both.
Judge.me vs Trustpilot for Google Shopping reviews is really a question about which stars you want. Judge.me is built for product reviews: the stars under a single product in Shopping ads. Trustpilot is built for service reviews about your whole business, and it is a licensed source for Google's store ratings.
Both can put product stars into Google Shopping. The difference is cost, contract and what else comes with it. Judge.me does it for $15 a month. Trustpilot needs a paid annual plan plus its Product Reviews add-on.
We run Google Shopping for ecom brands and set up review feeds in Merchant Center, so this comparison is about what actually reaches Google, not widget features.

Product ratings vs store ratings: the difference that decides it
Google shows two kinds of stars. Product ratings sit under a specific product in Shopping ads and free listings, and need at least 50 product reviews across your catalog. Store ratings rate your whole business on text ads, Shopping ads and free listings, and usually need about 100 eligible reviews from the last 24 months with an average of 3.5 or higher.
Judge.me covers product ratings. Trustpilot covers store ratings, and product ratings too if you pay for its add-on. Our guide on how to get Google Shopping rating reviews covers Google's full requirements for both.
Judge.me for Google Shopping reviews
Our pick for product stars: Judge.me
- ▶Why: 5.0 stars from 49,351 Shopify reviews, unlimited reviews on the free plan, and the cheapest route to product stars in Google Shopping.
- ▶Google Shopping: on the $15 a month Awesome plan, sent through Google's API, with a 15-day free trial.
- ▶Try it: Install Judge.me on Shopify.
Judge.me's Awesome plan sends your written product reviews to Google Shopping through Google's API, into a Merchant Center account Judge.me manages. You don't fill out Google's Product Ratings interest form or host an XML file. Turn it on under Settings > Google, SEO and AI > Google Shopping, and Google takes about 10 days to process the feed.
- ▶What it sends: reviews from request emails (including past orders), the on-site widget, QR codes, Klaviyo requests and verified migrations from Loox, Yotpo or Stamped.
- ▶What it skips: Amazon, Etsy, AliExpress and spreadsheet imports, star-only ratings and spam-flagged reviews.
- ▶The catch: once sent, reviews can't be removed from Google, and you won't see them in your own Merchant Center.
- ▶No store ratings: Judge.me's help center says seller ratings are not supported yet.
Free plan for unlimited reviews, Google Shopping stars on the $15 Awesome plan.
Install Judge.me on ShopifyTrustpilot for Google Shopping reviews
Trustpilot is a review platform first: customers review your business on a public trustpilot.com profile. For Google that matters in two ways.
- ▶Store ratings: Trustpilot has a licensing agreement with Google, so its reviews can count toward your Google store rating. Trustpilot says they are typically included 2 to 6 weeks after you meet Google's requirements, and it is Google's call what shows.
- ▶Product stars: Trustpilot product reviews can show in Shopping ads through its Product Reviews add-on. It sends a new batch to Google daily, needs at least 50 product reviews in the feed, and the GTINs in your Trustpilot catalog must match your Merchant Center feed.
- ▶Merged profiles: if you merged several Trustpilot profiles, only the main business domain qualifies for Shopping ads.
- ▶Not a copy of your TrustScore: Google blends several sources, so your Google store rating won't match your TrustScore exactly.
The free plan sends 50 review invitations a month. That is enough to start a profile, but slow for reaching the roughly 100 eligible reviews store ratings usually need, and it does not include product reviews.
Judge.me vs Trustpilot pricing
| Plan | Price | Google Shopping product stars | Terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Judge.me Forever Free | $0 | No | No contract |
| Judge.me Awesome | $15/month | Yes | Monthly, 15-day trial |
| Trustpilot Free | $0 | No | 50 invitations a month |
| Trustpilot Starter | $1,188/year | With paid add-on | New customers only |
| Trustpilot Plus | $3,828/year | With paid add-on | 12 months, 14-day trial |
| Trustpilot Premium | From $799/month | With paid add-on | 12 months, per domain |
Trustpilot prices are per domain, so a brand with US and UK stores on separate domains pays for each. Trustpilot quotes are personalized by traffic, business size and revenue, and the Product Reviews add-on price is not published, so treat these as starting prices.
12 months
Trustpilot's minimum contract on every paid plan, prepaid. Judge.me's Awesome plan is month to month.
What Shopify merchants say about each app

Judge.me has 5.0 stars from 49,351 reviews on the Shopify App Store. Trustpilot's Shopify app has 3.6 stars from 46 reviews, and 14 of those 46 are 1-star. The complaints differ: Judge.me's low reviews are mostly about setup and support, while Trustpilot's are about price, contracts and control over reviews.

“This app has been a complete waste of money. I paid $3,828 per year, but the app provided absolutely no value to my business.”
Pawesome House, United States
“When a review states something provably untrue, such as "never delivered" or "no refund", and you hold the delivery scan and the refund record, the product gives you no real way to deal with it.”
PICKI NIKI, Germany

Which one should you choose?
- ▶Choose Judge.me if you sell on Shopify, want product stars in Google Shopping and on your product pages, and want a predictable $15 a month with no contract.
- ▶Choose Trustpilot if shoppers search "is [brand] legit" before buying, you sell higher-ticket products, and you want store ratings on your Google ads and an independent profile, with budget for an annual contract.
- ▶Run both if you want product stars and store ratings: Judge.me for product reviews, Trustpilot for service reviews. Keep each review in one feed only.
- ▶Want store ratings for free? Google Customer Reviews in Merchant Center collects post-purchase store reviews at no cost.
How to run Judge.me and Trustpilot together
- 1.Send product review requests from Judge.me after delivery, and turn on its Google Shopping feed once you have 50 written reviews.
- 2.Send service review invitations from Trustpilot to the same customers a few days later, asking about delivery and support, not the product.
- 3.Don't send Trustpilot product reviews to Google too. Google's Product Ratings policy says each review should appear in only one feed.
- 4.Match GTINs everywhere: your Merchant Center feed, Judge.me and your Trustpilot catalog should carry the same identifiers.
- 5.Watch both ratings monthly. Product stars live on each product. Your store rating is at google.com/storepages?q=yourstore.com once you qualify.
Two review emails per order is the limit. If customers complain about inboxes, drop the Trustpilot request and use Google Customer Reviews for store ratings instead. For more review apps compared, see our best Shopify apps ranking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Judge.me or Trustpilot better for Google Shopping reviews?
For product star ratings in Google Shopping, Judge.me is the better fit for most Shopify stores: its $15 a month Awesome plan sends product reviews to Google through Google's API. Trustpilot can also send product reviews, but only with its Product Reviews add-on on a paid plan, and paid plans start at $1,188 a year on a 12-month contract.
Does Trustpilot show stars in Google Shopping ads?
Yes, if you collect product reviews through Trustpilot's Product Reviews add-on and have at least 50 product reviews in the feed. Trustpilot sends a new batch of product reviews to Google daily, and the GTINs in your Trustpilot catalog must match your Merchant Center product feed.
Does Judge.me send store ratings to Google?
No. Judge.me's help center says store ratings (seller ratings) are not supported yet. Its Google Shopping feed only sends written product reviews. For store ratings on Google ads, use Google Customer Reviews or a Google review partner such as Trustpilot.
How much does Trustpilot cost compared to Judge.me?
Judge.me is free, or $15 a month ($180 a year) for the Awesome plan that includes Google Shopping. Trustpilot has a free plan capped at 50 review invitations a month; its Shopify listing shows Starter at $1,188 a year for new customers and Plus at $3,828 a year, and Premium starts at $799 a month. All Trustpilot paid plans are 12-month contracts, and product reviews are a separate add-on.
Can I use Judge.me and Trustpilot together?
Yes, as long as each handles a different job. A common setup is Judge.me for product reviews and Google Shopping product stars, and Trustpilot for service reviews and Google store ratings. Don't send the same product reviews to Google from both: Google's policy says each review should appear in only one feed.
How many reviews do I need for Google Shopping stars with either app?
Google needs at least 50 product reviews across your products before product ratings show, whichever app sends them. Store ratings are separate and usually need about 100 eligible reviews from the last 24 months, with an average of 3.5 or higher to show on ads.
Is a Trustpilot TrustScore the same as a Google store rating?
No. Trustpilot says Google calculates store ratings from several sources on a 1 to 5 scale, so your Google store rating will not match your TrustScore exactly.
